For lovers of hiking, landscapes
and nature

For lovers of hiking:

To know and appreciate our hills there are a number of paths that trace the territory around Treiso; these are well marked on the 'Paths of Treiso' map. In particular 'Path No. 1' departing from Meruzzano, where the Agriturismo is located, arrives at the summit of the hamlet of Cappelletto and then continues to the "Rocche dei Sette Fratelli". The route is on asphalt and gravel roads with very panoramic views.

For lovers of cycling:

Il Ciliegio is an ideal departure point for cycling excursions in the Langhe and the nearby Roero, both for road bikes and mountain bikes. We offer cycling maps of the area and advice on routes and their degree of difficulty. With prior notification at the time of booking, bicycles rental can be arranged.

Main events in Treiso:

The 'Sorseggiando l'universo' (sipping the universe) Food and Wine evening is normally held in the first few weeks of August, with conferences on astronomy and observations of the stars, accompanied by tastings of local food and wine.

The last Sunday of August, during the traditional harvest festival, is the 'Sentieringusto' (food and wine walk). The walk through vineyards is about 6 kilometers with six corresponding refreshment stops to taste typical local dishes accompanied by the best local wines of the Langhe.

Places worth a visit in the Treiso area:

Alba and its medieval historic centre, famous around the world for the 'Fiera del Tartufo' (Truffle festival); the 'Palio degli asini' (Donkey palio); the 'Vinum' wine festival which is held every April, and presents the best wines the area has to offer for tasting; Barbaresco, the town that gave its name to the famous wine, is perched under the medieval tower; Neive, with its medieval historic centre, and castles, a legacy of the feudal era, today house wine bars, museums and exhibitions.
